Well, school is back in session and the first practice of the year is practically here. Meet us Saturday, September 6 at the Kimmel Center, room 606 (the dance studio in the corner). Practice is from 3-6pm and anyone and everyone is welcome. Even if you don't want to dance or can't dance, feel free to come and watch or ask questions. Or if you can't dance and you'd like to try, even better.

We'll also be at the club fair so if you're there stop by and say what's up. The club fair doesn't supply electrical power or allow us to bring any audio systems, which pretty much screws us over in every possible way so don't expect anything too dazzling.

Long time no post. I've been keeping busy going to practices at McCarren Pool and Tompkins Square; if anyone is in the area contact me for details. Congratulations to our friends on Floor Obsessions crew for winning Kings of NY, that's just unreal; hopefully you guys will start getting some shine now.

I'm really looking forward to the beginning of the semester, can't wait to get back to official practices and see everyone (and hopefully some new faces).

So for the Summer practice is looking like this:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday @ 8PM - McCarren Park in Williamsburg
Tuesday @ 6PM - NYU Kimmel Center
Thursday @ 7PM - 17th Street (Temporariily Closed?)

Obviously there is some overlap, I tend to go to the non McCarren practices when they're available, not because McCarren is bad but for the sake of variety. See you there.

I Hate Power Moves

Short clip from practice in Queens tonight. My power is pretty awful, I guess that's why I'm the footwork bboy.

Up and Running!

What's up everyone and welcome to the blog.

Since we're all out on Summer break, this section will probably be pretty sparse for the coming months. Once the semester starts though, I'll be regularly posting things related to the club and b-boying in general. Here are some things you can look for:

-Dates for upcoming club performances and battles/events throughout NYC
-Comments regarding practice (theme of upcoming week's lesson, what to bring, individual shout outs)
-Miscellaneous footage from practice and elsewhere that isn't worth posting in the Media section
-Clips from the latest dope jams
-Links to breakbeats and b-boy clothing/gear

I could go on forever but that's just the tip of it. Anyways, I'm pretty excited about the new site, I hope it's useful to everyone; in the mean time train hard over Summer and see you all in September.
